This August, we’re launching our “Let’s Finish This!” Giving Campaign—a focused effort to pay off the remaining $150,000 of our building loan and sow into the future God is preparing for us.
A Bit of History
Back in 2015, Parkerville Baptist Church took a bold step of faith and borrowed $1.1million to extend our current facility. These spaces have served us well—hosting worship, ministry, community outreach, and countless moments of transformation.
Today, we’re down to the final stretch: just $150,000 remains. Now is the time to finish what we started.
A New Season of Ministry
God is leading us in this new season of ministry—one that calls us to look outward, to reach our community with the Gospel, and to prepare for what’s next.
That’s why we are doing this with a 70/30 heart:
- 70% of your gift will go toward paying off the loan.
- 30% will be a seed fund for future ministry—an investment in the new things God is doing. Beyond current options.
Think of it like this: our building is like our home. It’s essential, and it’s time to finish paying it off. But just like we tithe from our income, we want to tithe from our giving—ensuring we’re not just looking inward, but outward. The seed fund will be used for new ministry endeavours as God leads.
To be clear: if $100,000 is received in this giving campaign, $70,000 will go toward the loan payment and $30,000 will go toward the seed fund.
August Focus & Celebration
Throughout August, we’ll be focusing on this campaign. We invite you to prayerfully consider how God would want you to contribute. Sunday, August 31st will be our Big Giving Day—a time of fellowship, celebration, and thanksgiving for all that God has done and is doing. You can give anytime throughout August, but on the 31st we’ll celebrate how much has been given in our service through, worship, prayer and a church brunch after the service.
Let’s Finish This—Together
Let’s finish this together—with faith, generosity, and a vision for the future. As we close this chapter of debt, we open new doors for ministry that reflect our church’s vision:
- A Gospel Presence that brings the good news of Jesus to our community and beyond.
- A Worshipping Community that gathers in spirit and truth, glorifying God together.
- Kingdom Equipping that prepares and empowers believers to serve, lead, and grow.
- A commitment to Peace and Prosperity—seeking the flourishing of our neighbourhoods, families, and the wider world.
This is more than a financial milestone—it’s a spiritual one. Let’s sow generously into the future God is shaping for Parkerville Baptist Church.
