Discussion questions

1. Who do you relate more to and why? Mary or Martha?

2.       Read psalms 46:10 again. Share ways that you can develop times of ‘being still’ in your life.

3.       Has the isolating circumstances we are in helped or hindered your ability to spend quality time with God? Explain.

4.       Distraction can be the enemy of our destiny. Can you share of a time you were distracted from keeping God first place and what you did to ‘reset’?

5.       Read Matt 4:4. Share something you have heard from God that has helped your life.

Discussion questions

1. Craig spoke about the unlikely link between, joy, hope and suffering. When you think of joy and hope, do you also think of suffering.  

2. Think about a time when you experienced a lack of hope and consider where you were looking. To your circumstances or the amazing reality of Jesus, love, presence and promises for you amidst your trial. 

3. What are you doing to become a self feeder who is established and strong, not moved. 

4. Turn your worry into worship, Take a few moments now to thank God for all His blessings. As a family  list of specific ways you have seen His finger prints upon your life this week.

2. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” Proverbs 13:12
   Share an example when hope enabled you to keep going during a difficult time.
3. Discuss the difference between our hope as Christians, and wishing for good outcomes.

   What are some practical things we can do this week to remind ourselves why we can trust God in tough times?

• In acts 9, Paul had a personal encounter with the risen Jesus. Can you share about how you first put your faith in Jesus & what led you to trust Him?
• In uncertain times how does Jesus being resurrected impact your daily life of family, work & general life?
• Jesus chose the isolation of the tomb for 3 days to secure our salvation. Share how you can use our current isolation circumstances to grow stronger in our faith?
• Jesus offers to push the wheel barrow of your life. What areas do you need to give Him more control?
