23 JANUARY, SUNDAY @9.30am
The women from Shalom House have their turn with us this Sunday and we’re looking forward to hearing from them during the service. Rowan du Boulay will be bringing us the message on Trust from John 9:1-11.
Looking forward to seeing you all there and don’t forget your masks!
27 JANUARY – International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Our own Kelvin Crombie and his daughter Abigail Crombie will both be speaking at the International Holocaust Remembrance Day at Gosnells Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, 27 January from 7-9pm. They will be looking at the impact of the holocaust on Jewish Christians in the Netherlands.
30 JANUARY – Volunteer Recognition and Bring & Share Brunch
We will be recognising our faithful volunteers during the Sunday service, followed by a Bring & Share Brunch straight after the service.
Please bring along finger food to share to cover whomever is with you on the day so that there is enough for everyone – feel free to contribute anything from your best culinary creation to vegemite sandwiches, we don’t mind!
But keep it simple, nothing that requires heating or prep after the service.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there and sharing in some great food and fellowship with our church family.
05 FEBRUARY – Baptism
Oh yeah! Carlton Treasure has made the decision to take the next step in his faith journey and will be getting baptised at Lake Lesch at 10am on Saturday, 5 February. He’d love to see as many people as are able to be there to support him in this public declaration of faith and act of obedience.
11 FEBRUARY – Coffee Connections
All are welcome to attend our Coffee Connections morning tea at Dome, Mundaring on Friday, 11 February from 10am to 12noon. This is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends or just get to know each other a little better over a cuppa!
27 FEBRUARY – AGM
Our Annual General Meeting of registered Members is coming up on Sunday, 27 February after the morning service. More info to come…
MEN’S BREAKFAST – every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month
This men’s Journey Group and breakfast has been meeting at the church for years at 7.30am on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, to share together and to enjoy John Ebert’s secret recipe porridge! If you would like to join them then either just turn up or contact Jason Brooks on 0416 861 322 for more info.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON PRAYER
…throughout January continues @5pm at the following locations (length of time there will depend on the number of people and heat):
– Glen Forrest train park – Railway Parade
– Mundaring near scouts hall – Jacoby Street
– Mt Helena pioneer park – McVicar Place
– Wooroloo park (Government Road and Green Street) on heritage trail
There are people committed to meeting and hosting prayer at all the above locations so you won’t be on your own! Please bring a hat and water bottle. Praying in our community has the purpose of seeing a place and its people through God’s eyes, hearing what God is saying about the place and people, discerning where God is at work, and understanding how God wants us to be involved. Please contact Rowan du Boulay on 0423 865 972 if you would like further info.
