2. PARKY NEWS
Stations of the Cross Art Exhibition @Parky
In 2018, a mixed group of 25 Parky people from all ages & stages worked in groups to create artworks that are currently displayed around the church auditorium. The works of art walk us through Jesus’ last days on earth & help us focus on Easter as we are bombarded with easter bunnies, eggs & chocolate…
The artists researched & looked closely at Bible passages to help inform the pieces, & there are meditations & artist statements next to each one.
Start clockwise at Gethsemane & work your way around to the empty tomb. You can also check out the devotion booklet (see attached) which picks up some of the research & presents some thought-provoking readings, as well as a short focus idea to pray about in the lead up to Easter, putting us right into the Easter story.
The art exhibition can be viewed on Sunday mornings or during the week when the church is open & the auditorium isn’t in use. There is also a visual diary in the foyer detailing the making of the art.

3. LIFE OUTSIDE OF PARKY
Prayer in the Hills This year, as a lead-in to Easter, Rob & Catherine Walker (Praxeis) have extended an invitation to a weekly prayer meeting at their house (4 Berrima Court, Glen Forrest) on Wednesdays from 7.30-8.30pm until 1 April. Using the idea of Lent – a season of waiting, reflection & preparation leading up to Easter – to read the Bible, share & pray together. The hope is to lay the foundation for prayer between Easter & Pentecost as a Hills community.
06 March – World Day of Prayer, 9.30-10.30am You are invited to Mundaring Church of Christ for the 2026 World Day of Prayer. This will be an uplifting service of thanksgiving & intercession prepared by women of Nigeria. Our own Caleb Omowo will be guest speaker, with the theme ‘I will give you rest. Come’. The service will be followed by morning tea.
